Lamai Beach is a quiet, relaxing resort destination in Koh Samui. It’s the second-largest beach area next to Chaweng, and it offers a wide range of accommodation, activities, shopping, and dining.
It has lots of its very own special attractions and tourist sites that are worth visiting.

Its coastline is made of fine, white sand; the entire length of which is dotted with umbrellas, chairs, and hotels.
Situated north of Lamai Beach is the beautiful Silver Beach, which stretches for around 250 meters long. There are a handful of mid-range and high-end hotels here, but even if you aren’t booked at one of them, the tranquil stretch of sand offers excellent swimming, snorkelling, and sunbathing. The Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks are also another great nearby attraction; these are spectacular rock formations not too far from the beach.
While you’re here, don’t forget to check out the Lamai Night Bazaar; a popular tourist attraction. There are several lanes filled with dozens of stalls selling unique souvenirs as well as knockoff clothes and bags. If you’re on the lookout for affordable clothing, including sarongs, t-shirts, bags, lamps, and other furniture, the market is highly recommended. It’s also quieter compared to Chaweng’s and has a terrific dining area with lots of cheap and delicious food, cafes, and pubs.
When shopping here, never settle for the first price and remember to bargain.
