Leela Beach

Leela beach, also known as Haad Seekantang Beach, is found on the western part of the Haad Rin peninsula. What’s great about staying at this beach is that it gives you access to all the action on the island, while offering some tranquillity when you need it.

The ambience is relaxing, and you get to enjoy a coconut tree-lined beach to yourself here.

Leela Beach, Hotels, Resorts, Bungalows & Accommodation, Koh Phangan

Travellers who wish to partake in the Full Moon Party revelries enjoy staying in this area due to its proximity to events and nightlife. However, you don’t have to worry too much about the noise because a high hill provides protection from the chaos of the evening.

This beach is abundant in beautiful natural attractions, especially the clear emerald waters. All accommodation options from cheap hotels & bungalows to high end resorts & villas can be found here.

Some parts of the beach are rocky, and the coral reef may be exposed in the low season which runs from April to November. The best time to swim on this beach is from November to March so that you can enjoy blissful, deeper waters for relaxation, as well as snorkelling.

On the beach’s northern end, you’ll find some mangroves as well as both old and new hotels tucked into lush greens. This area is more hidden, which is why it was popular among nudists in the old days. Head north if you’d like some isolation, but further south and the middle is where all the action is. No matter which part you choose to stay in, you’ll love this area for the convenience and accessibility to just about everything you need.

Getting to Leela beach is easy from the Haad Rin town centre since they are just 15 minutes apart. You can take a short walk southeast which will take you directly to the beach. Another option is to hire a taxi or rent a motorbike.
