Mango Viewpoint is a must-visit in Koh Tao for anyone who appreciates stunning coastal views and magnificent sunsets.
Located on the north of the island, this viewpoint and the nearby Mango Bay get their names from the abundant mango trees that have been planted here a long time ago.

A word of caution: make sure that you use suitable shoes when visiting the viewpoint. It can get tricky on the way down, and without the right footwear, you may be prone to sliding. Other than that, bring a good attitude and of course your camera along.
There are two ways to reach the viewpoint: the most popular and convenient way is by taking a motorbike. However, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can take the challenging but rewarding hike up as well, which will take around 60 minutes while the descend takes about 45 minutes. If you do decide to hike up, make sure you’re in good physical health since it requires a straight ascent without any flat areas from where you can rest. The hike is rather long and arduous, but the trail is easy to follow, and the chances of getting lost are pretty low.
The best time to do the hike is before noon, or late in the afternoon right before sunset. Once you make it, you’ll realise why Mango Viewpoint is worth it!
