Paradise Waterfall

Paradise Waterfall is a beautiful attraction in Koh Phangan. The waters cascade through a series of picturesque rock walls that invite you to come for a dip.

The best time to visit is during the wet season from June to October. Otherwise, the water tends to dry up; but to be sure, just ask the locals if the area has seen any rainfalls recently.

Visitors need to practice caution in the falls; it is not advisable to walk through the stream of water because the current tends to be much stronger than it looks. Bring water and refreshments with you since much of the waterfalls is found within a dense jungle, and during the summer months, it can get very hot. However, there is also a small restaurant near the falls’ entrance, where you may also purchase food and drinks.

Paradise Waterfall is one of Koh Phangan’s top 5 waterfalls, but it is also easily the most popular because it is so accessible. The falls is accessible by taking a bicycle on the main road of Chaloklum. Just follow the road as it goes up the hill until you see the wooden huts, and here you can park your bike. Then you will need to trek through a steep pathway, which can get narrow at some parts, and it eventually turns into a jungle path.

Once you enter, you will see the pool that has swings, but to get to the real falls, you’ll need to walk another 40 minutes more, but it will be worth it!

Be sure to bring the right footwear, since it can get slippery when the road is wet. If you are taking a vehicle from Thongsala, look out for the sign on the right side of the road after you pass the old elephant trekking path.
