Baan Tai Pier is one of the local ports in Koh Phangan.
It’s less busy than other piers because it’s primarily used by the local fishermen, though travellers also board ferries here that head out on tours of the Angthong Marine Park.

Upon arrival at Koh Phangan, visitors can go directly to the pier by catching taxi for around 10-15 minutes. However, many travellers prefer to rent a motorcycle to get around Baan Tai. Whatever way you choose to get around, keep in mind that the beach itself here has many beautiful gems worth discovering if you have the time to stay a night or two, since there’s more to Baan Tai than its port.
One major attraction at the Baan Tai Pier is Loi Lay – the only Floating Bar and Lounge in Koh Phangan. Nowhere else on the island will you be able to sip on delicious cocktails and cold beers while relaxing on the ocean and making new friends. Sunset views don’t get better than at Loi Lay! It can accommodate up to 150 people and the best time to come is right before sunset – but the parties will continue for hours.
If you’re travelling with friends, or alone but want to meet new people, check out the Dragon Dao Chill-Out Cruise. The boat is comfortable and can accommodate up to 34 people. A half-day tour takes you to stunning areas in the Siam gulf; you’ll be able to enjoy delicious Thai food, swim in the sea, and even go for a snorkel.
A visit to Baan Tai Pier is guaranteed to create new memories you won’t want to forget.
